Etienne Kubwabo: Beats of War Superhero Training Academy

Etienne Kubwabo is a film-maker and writer who has written, directed and produced award-winning documentaries, films and music videos.

He's also the creator of Scotland’s first-ever black superhero: DJ ET, in Beats of War, is a superhero who comes to Earth to find a way to save his home planet from robot invaders - and in the process, discovers music.

As part of our Tramway Beyond Walls season, Etienne devised a truly heroic programme of workshops for superheroes of all ages, including aerial arts, circus skills, parkour and mask making. There were lots of session which catered for particular age groups - even a few sessions for grown-up superheroes - and they were all free.

All events took place at The Bowling Green in Pollokshields between Thu 24 - Sat 26 June.
