Alesandra Seutin embraces the idea that individuals have the power to live in movement and to express themselves boldly. Renowned for her distinctive hybrid movement language, she will guide you to  be grounded, and to focus on dancing from the inside out; on posture, fluidity of the spine and musicality. Alesandra's class is fun, dynamic and will encourage dancers to use all senses, emotions and expressions to the sounds of live musicians. Be prepared to dance and vocalise as you move.

A dancer full of grace and power, and an excellent teacher, Alesandra Seutin, is an internationally recognised artist of the African Diaspora. This African Contemporary dance workshop is based on the technique founded by the 'Mother of African Contemporary Dance' Germaine Acogny.  Acogny Technique is one of the only codified and most recognised African contemporary dance techniques. In 2011, Alesandra Seutin was selected by Germaine Acogny to be part of the transmission of her technique. She has been teaching the technique across the world since 2014 and is also a regular teacher at Ecole des Sables, Senegal.

"The body. Timing. Grounding. Pulse. Expression. Vibe. Strength. Sensation. Structure. Flow. Connection. The freedom of the body through discipline. That is Acogny Technique.”
