Estonia Now: Estonian National Ballet Triple Bill
Part of Glasgow's Arts Festival celebrating 100 years of Estonia
Estonian National Ballet celebrates its centenary this year. In its very first visit to Scotland, the company presents an exciting programme of short ballet works by three renowned Estonian choreographers.
Each work is being performed in Scotland for the first time.
Time
Choreographed by Tiit Helimets
Time explores the concept of our existence, through relationships to one another, to God and to our planet.
Silent Monologues
Choreographed by Thomas Edur
A one-act piece for three couples, Silent Monologues speaks of the inner loneliness, the ups and downs, the self-exploration, and the shared happiness and sadness of human relationships.
Choreographed by Eve Mutso
Echo explores how individuality This new work by Eve Mutso, former principal dancer with Scottish Ballet, has been specially commissioned by the Estonian National Ballet for its 100th anniversary season and will premiere in Tallinn on 8 Nov 2018.
It explores how individuality and commonality impact human relationships and how our past always finds its way to our present.
