MHz and Cuthbertson Primary School present STRUT Kids
An afternoon of Family Fun
STRUT returns to Glasgow this November and it’s the kids turn to strut their stuff and show us their moves!
Building on the acclaimed premiere of STRUT as part of Tramway's Dance International Glasgow 2021, local theatre makers MHz return to bring a children’s version of the show to Govanhill. This time around they’ll be joining forces with the pupils of Cuthbertson Primary School where MHz and dance artists Nancy Jacinto and Jennifer Taggart have been delivering 10 weeks of creative dance workshops.
STRUT Kids is designed as a procession and dance party partnered with a celebratory light show for audiences to encounter from the playground and school hall. Children from the school will be invited to show off their personal choreographies harnessing the power of freestyle dance as a universal expression of freedom and joy.
In an afternoon of family fun, the playground and school hall will host dance performances, interactive games, a special appearance from STRUT performer Joshua Macmillan - and delicious free snacks on offer from Milk Café.
