Call Out: We want local dancers to STRUT their stuff

Tramway, in partnership with local artists Megahertz and Govanhill Baths, is looking for five dancers from the neighbourhoods of Pollokshields and Govanhill, to take part in STRUT; an outdoor night time street performance.

We are looking for dancers of any style - Bhangra, Jive, Romani, Hip-Hop, Northern Soul, Flamenco, Happy Hardcore…anything goes! - who will represent the energy and diversity of our neighbourhoods. The five who are selected will be paid to take part in two performances later this year.

So if you live in Pollokshields or Govanhill - whether you are a bedroom dancer or a member of a local dance club - if this opportunity sounds like it was made for you, apply now by submitting a short audition video.

STRUT is a show by Megahertz, supported by Tramway and Govanhill Baths, and will be part of Dance International Glasgow 2021.

Fee: £700 per selected performer

When submitting your application please do let us know of any access requirements you may have and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. This could range from BSL or Language Interpretation to Childcare Costs or Travel Allowances. Just let us know what we can provide to support you to take part in this project.
