Within an empty space stands a treadmill, the centerpiece of WALKER Movement Theatre Company's thought-provoking choreography. TREAD intertwines stunt performance techniques, contemporary dance, minimalism, and play causality to create a mesmerizing exploration of the Black moving body that invites audiences into a realm where joyful fantasy and brutal realities transcend and coexist.

TREAD is a Stomping Ground Commission. Stomping Ground is a commissioning group for outdoor dance made up of leading UK arts organisations Creative Crawley, FABRIC (Dance4 and DanceXchange together), FESTIVAL.ORG, The Place and Tramway.
